Being a webmaster is my hobby and I want my hobby to pay for itself. I am strongly against monotonizing a site in order to monetize it and I try to keep any ads I do display low key. This whole site was designed to feature the content, not be a conduit to pass visitors to affiliates and adsense ads.

In order to make more money and pay for this hobby I have decided to test out a new feature on MaxPower. On the right side of my site, you will find a small graphic with the words: “This space is for rent. Interested?” This small space will contain sponsored text links and be visible on every page.

Here’s how it works: if you’re interested in having your link displayed, contact me, tell me about your site and provide a link. Upon payment of $20 USD via PayPal, your text link will be posted for 1 month and, should you like, I will post an additional story on maxpower regarding your site. Please note that I can make no guarantee regarding uptime due to the vagaries of web traffic (slashdotting etc).

After that, its a new deal. Some blog information; this site has a Google Page Rank of 6, daily traffic hovers above 2,000 uniques per day with roughly 40k-80k uniques per month.

To sum everything up, you get hits and the satisfaction of furthering the development of MaxPower while I get some cashflow to offset the costs of running a small but growing website. Ideally, I would like this income stream to supplant any need of having advertisements so if this goes well, no more adsense.
