The following is a piece of spam I received today. Due to the anti spam set up I use here at MaxPower, I am sure that this comment was hand written by a real human. It was posted on my social bookmarking page. In it Charles asks some good questions. Here we go:

I just got an email about an ebook download(for sale) about how to profit from bookmark sites.
But, before i go rushing to link up, I must ask what a website needs to be, before it is seen as a winner. I realise writing an article which is informative and useful before it can get bookmarked.

How about the site itself, should it have certain requirement before being considered?.

I would like a review from you if possible to see if my site might be seen as being good or adequate.

I am in need of some traffic and how to go about doing the right things to achieve it through bookmaker sites. It is difficult to get an idea of how to make it more exciting to visitors in an article.

Your honest opinions will be much apreciated

You obviously took the time to hand type or cut and paste your spam. Congratulations on making through the filters. As your reward, here is my reply to your questions:

Both questions have the same answer: I think a site needs to be original and have utility. It must be usefull. Republishing others’ content as you do on your site is useless, you will only enchant people for but a moment. I guess this is all you need as you have 3 rather large blocks of adsense ads. Do you hope someone will click on those by accident?

Sure. I humbly suggest you write your own content, stop spamming, and get out of the dating website racket. You’ve started too late, unless you bring something new to the dating website scene then you are SOL. So is your site good? No. Is your site adequate… tough one because I have no clearly defined criteria on which to judge your adequacy. But nonetheless, I’m leaning towards no again. Sorry. I would never visit a site like yours and even if I happened across it accidentally, you’d better believe I’d hit the back button. You know, I have the back button built right into my keyboard and mouse for easy backing up. But I digress….

Who isn’t. But in all seriousness, you needn’t bother using social bookmarking unless you write your own material. And even though you claim to teach English in Warsaw (or someone with your name does, who also links to your site) I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and not tear up your English usage (what is it?).

Anyway, here is my honest opinion. You are being suckered using those article services. A site like yours, filled to the brim with recycled content and adsense will never be popular. Sure, maybe you will make a few lousy bucks. But in return for publishing others’ content you give them a link back to their website. These links have value. More value than I suspect you will get out of recycling their content. But life is a trade-off.

Dating Online: You are young, free and single so you tend to play the field. As you are not going to be responsible to anyone. Believing this is the best way for a young person to taste life to the fullest. It can result in some serious fun for sometime but you can make a few mistakes. A sexual encounter which turns out to be incurable, or you are going to a father or a mother, or something a bit more gruesome.

Wow! Good job, its very edgy. I’m not sure I agree or understand what you are writing about, but it is controversial! And people like controversy. I’d suggest you write more of your own stuff like the above quote. Good luck with your site!
