This post has an inline ad. I simply used this plugin called adsense, and then added a bit of CSS to float the ads to the right. It is very simple. Follow the instructions for editing your adsense information, as written on the plugin’s website. Add the css to make it float. Here is what my plugin now looks like:

Lines 27 and 43 are the key, one opens a new paragraph with style, the other closes that paragraph off. I hope this helps someone. Also, this isn’t the best post to display how adsense can be shown. See one of these posts for a better example.

  2. links from Technorati I tried to add some Adsense code to my WordPress blog, but it was very difficult. I couldn’t get it just right, and it wouldn’t align where I wanted it. Then I came up a site that has a tutorial about adding Adsense to a WordPress blog …It saved me hours of trying to figure out a better way. Once you get Adsense added, you shouldn’t have a problem changing the code colors or layout.

I found the AdSense WordPress plugin mentioned here several months ago, and immediately went to work beefing it up. In particular I wanted more controls for which ad styles were shown where, the ability to selectively disable ad display, and a way to globally change all the ads in my posts. The result is called AdSense-Deluxe, and details and download links can be found at http://www.acmetech.com/blog/adsense-deluxe/

For wordpress.com users, I think you have to cut and paste the code. I don’t know if wordpress.com supplies any kind of plugin or code feature to do auto inserting of adsense. I hope that this helps.

    Aloha,

Not sure if it will matter to your readers as this is a little bit older post but I wrote a tutorial about an easy way to put adsense (or chitika) ads in between paragraphs on your wordpress blog without using a plugin. just uses a counter a little php and a few built-in wordpress functions.

You can check it out at the tutorial post here.

just thought it might help out your readers.

    Aloha,
    erik
